SFC Lewis has an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Tallahassee Community College.   

SFC Rodney Lewis served in the United States Army for 31 years 8 months and 22 days.  He retired from Active Duty service on September 1, 2013.

SFC Lewis was born in Quincy, Florida to the Late Joe Lee Lewis Sr and Elouise Lewis. He is a graduate of James A. Shanks High School. SFC Lewis joined the United States Army in June of 1982. His Military Occupational Specialities were Army Recruiter, BN Supply Sergeant, Medical Supply Sergeant, Civil Affairs Sergeant, Patient Administrative Sergeant, Automated Logistics Sergeant, Personnel Administrative Sergeant, Staff Administrative Assistant, Unit Administrator and Unit Administrative Technician. SFC Lewis is a veteran of the Operation Desert Storm/Shield and Operation Enduring Freedom.
