Chet Ptachick and Austin Terry won top honors by beating out the top students from Florida's five regions at the SkillsUSA competitions recently in Lakeland.  Chet received 1st placing in Welding and Fabrication; while Austin placed 1st place in Gasoline Engine Service. Both of these young men will now represent the State of Florida and Gadsden Technical Institute at the SkillsUSA National Competition in Louisville Kentucky, June 22 -25 .
