Education

CPT White’s education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management as well as a Master of Business Administration in entrepreneurship (MBA) from Trident University International.  He also holds numerous certifications including Hazardous Materials Response and Incident Management as well as Project Management Professional Certificate from Syracuse University.  CPT White has been married to Delicia White for 20 years and they have two children; a nine year old son, Kevin White JR, and a two year old daughter, Ariana.  They have decided to make their home in Tallahassee, FL



Bio

CPT (retired) White was born and raised in Seattle, WA and enlisted in the Army in December 1994 as a Chemical Operations Specialist.  After completing basic training, advanced individual training, and chemical reconnaissance training, he was assigned to Ft. Hood, Texas in the 181st Chemical Company.  His next assignment was Camp Casey, Korea where he became a leader of Soldiers for the first time.  Following Korea, he went back to Fort Hood, Texas and worked as a Battery CBRN NCO and Chemical Recon Squad Leader, earned the rank of Staff Sergeant.  In 2001, he was assigned to Schofield Barracks, HI where he remained for six years.  While in Hawaii, he served as a Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Instructor and Division Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Explosives (CBRNE) Cell Logistics NCOIC.  In 2006, he deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom V with HHC, 25th Infantry Division.   At that time, the former Sergeant First Class White, was selected to attend Officer Candidate School (OCS) in November 2007. 

     

      CPT (retired) White earned his commission in February 2008 and attended the Officer Basic Course at Fort Leonard Wood, MO from May - August 2008.  His first assignment as an officer was Fort Hood, TX where he held the positions of Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Battalion Assistant Operations Officer and Brigade Assistant Operations Officer from 2008 through 2011.  In December 2011 he was assigned to Fort Leonard Wood, MO to attend the Chemical Captains Career Course.  After the career course, he was assigned to 1-48 Infantry battalion and served as the Battalion Operations Officer until taking command of B/1-48 on 28 February 2013.  CPT White served as Commander of B/1-48 until March 2014.  From there, CPT White was assigned to Florida State University as an Assistant Professor of Military Science from June 2014 until retiring on November 30th, 2017. After retiring from active duty, CPT White accepted the position at Gadsden County High School to be the Senior Army Instructor of the JROTC program where he continues to serve by helping to “motivate young people to be better citizens.”
